Volunteers
There is an ongoing need for volunteers at the Carnegie Historic Library. No experience is necessary, just a friendly smile and a willingness to help out. New volunteers will be teamed up with a mentor to assist and train them in their chosen duties. Some of the areas in which we need assistance include:
- Sorting and categorizing materials of local historical interest
- Assisting with research requests
- Computer input
- Greeting visitors
The Carnegie Historic Library is open Tuesday, and Thursday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm, Sunday 11am to 4pm. Docent schedules can vary according to the needs of the volunteer. Shifts include: All day (10am to 4pm), morning shift (10am to 1pm), afternoon shift (1pm to 4pm), or any combination thereof. We value any time our volunteers are able to give and will work with each volunteer to create a schedule that is convenient for them.
