Donations & Assistance
Monetary Donations
The El Paso de Robles Area Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Your donations are tax deductible. The Carnegie Historic Library is staffed by Historical Society volunteers; donations are utilized for the restoration and maintenance of our collections, unless otherwise specified by the donor.
Volunteer Docents
There is an ongoing need for volunteers at the Carnegie Historic Library. No experience is necessary, just a friendly smile and a willingness to help out. Some of the areas in which we need assistance include:
- Sorting and categorizing items of local historical interest.
- Assisting with research requests.
- Computer input
- Greeting visitors
The Carnegie Historic Library is open Tuesday, and Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Docent schedules can vary according to the needs of the volunteer. Shifts include: All day (10:00 to 4:00), morning shift (10:00 to 1:00), afternoon shift (1:00 to 4:00), or any combination thereof. We value any time our volunteers are able to give and will work with each volunteer to create a schedule that is convenient for them.

Material Donations
The El Paso de Robles Area Historical Society accepts donations of items that are of historical significance to the Paso Robles area. Due to limited storage and display space at the Carnegie Library, we are not able to accept all items that are offered. In such cases, we will recommend other local museums that may be a more appropriate site for the donation.
